Pi.

Today was Pi Day (3.14).

I thoroughly enjoy my school's enthusiasm regarding this rather lame holiday. There was a huge party in Brigham Square filled with pie (of course), dancing to songs dedicated to Pi, math games that were far beyond my comprehension (something about throwing sticks onto lines?), and a fair share of math nerds.

I participated in the pie eating contest; there was no way I was doing Pi Day without pie! Only downside? I couldn't use my hands so I got to taste that sticky pie all day.

Favorite part of the celebration: watching math professors (who are too intelligent for their own good) get pies thrown at them and also getting autographs from BYU's very own mathletes (who are recruited - did you know that?!).

Yeah...I met them.

Another bonus was that I was there to witness a new BYU record - some guy recited 900 numbers of the pi value. That is insane.

Pi Day 2012 = success.

Eat pie. Do math. Be happy.

Xoxo
