It's been a while. And I apologize. I really do.
It's just that...well, things have been crazy. And I don't want to accept the fact that summer is over. Even though I've been back in school for almost a month now. I know, it's weird.
I mean, since I last blogged I:
had my last day of work at my favorite little school.
took a trip to D.C. with the family where we basked in our nation's glory (I love, love, love American history. Almost majored in it, true story.) combined with a Third Eye Blind concert and a Nationals game.
said the hardest goodbyes. The second time is NOT easier. In fact, I would bet that it is harder.
moved back across the country. By myself this time. Not really a big deal.
got situated in my new apartment. Love it! I also met three of the sweetest, kindest ladies on this planet! Meet my new roommates! One prefers to be Cousin It in pictures... ;)
reunited with Utah family. Adoring all this baby holding time!
played with some of my first year roomies!
go to class with one of my best friends! First time in forever that we actually go to the same school.
get to see the sunset behind the mountains.
moved into a no longer pre-mi ward. Which obviously has some perks.
go to crazy dance parties but eat my weight in pizza first.
got an absentee ballot!
no longer get sleep. College life is exhausting. ;)
reconnected with good ole' Harold and it feels so good.
Yes, the goodbyes were harder, but once I saw that Y on the mountain, I knew I was in the right place. I honestly cannot imagine going to school anywhere else.
I absolutely loved my Freshman year, don't get me wrong, but this year...is different. And in a better way. I know my way around. I actually recognize people on campus. I have last year's friends and more friends from this year. I know what I want to be when I grow up (which gives me some direction). More friends have more cars which means more off campus fun. I live in an actual apartment with an actual living room. I get to play in a chemistry lab! (Okay, not play...actually work, really hard. But it's still pretty interesting and fun!) I learn so much about subjects that truly interest me each day. I am no longer a freshie. It's just all so good.
I count my blessings on my way to class and never run out. I live a B-Y-Utiful life and love it.
Year two, you're a keeper.
Xoxo
PS I will try to be better about blogging and keeping everyone updated on my oh so exciting, adventurous life! (Just kidding...homework is really not that great.)
Hooooorayyyyy FINALLY!
