Batismo!!

Tudo Bem, família e amigos?

Tudo bom aqui! This week went by so fast; can't belive it's another Segunda-Ferreira!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY AWESOME DAD ON THE 8th! PARABENS! Wish I was there to share the day with you but I am sending my love from Brasil!

Last week I had my first multi-zone mission conference. There were three zones there which meant lots of missionaries! It was SO fun. I had a great time seeing my old friends, including Sister Kimbrell from my home stake! It was so great seeing a familiar face and it was fun watching her speak in Portuguese - much different than how we normally communicate back home. :) President taught us a lot of good information and I left the conference with a lot of ideas on how to improve and become a better missionary. I also got sang to because my birthday was in November! Haha, wasn't a missionary then but I won't say no to candy.

During the conference, all the new missionaries had to bear their testimony. The first three sisters who spoke are really struggling with the language - so when I got up there, the audience was just like, "WHAAAT." I love seeing the looks on their faces when they realize that I have only been here for a little over two months. One sister told me that I speak almost without an accent! A HUGE confidence boost that I really needed. I have A LOT to improve, and I get better everyday, but I am so thankful that I have had the success that I have had with the language. I know it's because The Lord loves His missionaries and helps us so much. There is no way I could be this fluent if it wasn't for the support of The Lord. I also said the closing prayer - people love to have me pray I guess, haha.

One of my favorite memories thus far of the mission is probably what happened on the drive home from the conference. My whole zone was crammed in a van and some of the Elders just started busting out songs from home! It was SO funny to hear them all sing and have the Brasileros join in. So much fun. :)

That night, my companion went to the Hospital - which wasn't fun but it was good for her to get the medicine she needed. The Hospital was surprisingly clean and not bad, haha. She had a bad case of Sinusitis.

This slowed down our week but it didn't stop us from getting TWO BAPTISMS lined us for this weekend! I am SO excited and have LOVED watching these people progress and come to find Christ's love. I know this Gospel has changed them for the better and they can see it, too. One is Yhasmin - a young girl who is so smart and so dedicated to the Gospel already. She is the sweetest and always draws wonderful pictures for me. We met her through her mom - who is less active but we have brought her back to the church. Her whole family is going to chu

rch now and are so happy! The second is a young man named Daniel who is just golden. He is always so happy to see us and always prepares yummy food. I am so excited for the opportunity I have had to bring these souls back to the path of Christ! I know without a doubt that their decisions to be baptized will bless them and their future for the eternities!

Other than that excitement, it was another week in the Brasilian heat! I love this work and am so happy here! Keep being happy and write me! Sorry for the spelling errors - I am losing my English!

Love you all!
