There's a bird in Brasil that says, "It's good to see you!" (But, in Portuguese!)

i, ai, ai!

This past week I started my 7th transfer in the mission which means only 6 more left! Almost at the half way point and it is freaking me out! I have a hard time remembering my life before the mission and cannot even imagine a life after!

The members here LOVE us! It is so funny. When we first got to this ward, everyone was a little cold but now they beg us to come to their house and always have TONS of food! I am lucky that I haven't gained weight but my little companion has gained 10 kilos (more than 20 pounds...) in just the short three months she has here. The members give SO. MUCH. FOOD. "Come mais, Siiister!" Brasilians show their love through the food they give and from what we have been getting here, they REALLY love us. Feels so good to have a ward that is supporting missionary work and it really is paying off! I know that they love having us in their homes because of the spirit that we bring. There have been numerous times in my mission when we have entered a home full of contention and hate and by the time we leave, everyone is happy and laughing again. As missionaries, we truly have a different spirit about us and I love it! I love the peace and comfort it brings to worried souls.

Last week, during one of our zone meetings, I got a fun package from my mom! It was a 4th of July themed package which was great because it was our first meeting of the transfer and we are the "Zona Americana"! All the Americana themed candy and decorations were handy as we ate cake and celebrated the start to our new transfer. All the South Americans loved the candy and American themed goodies. Some of theme even kept the American flag napkins. I threw candy in the air and shouted, "FELIZ ANIVERSARIO, ESTADOS UNIDOS!" Hahaha, so great. I loved all the goodies - thanks, Mom!

This week we started teaching a woman who lives a little whiles a way from the city and she has monkeys that live in her front yard! Made me feel like I really am in BRASIL!

Started raining this past week and I haven't seen the sun in about a week. Makes things cool down a little bit more which I am grateful for!

As I was studying The Book of Mormon this week, I read about Captain Moroni. There is a scripture that says that if all men (and women) were to become as Moroni, hell would have no power over the earth. How cool is that?! I definitely want to become more like Moroni - a woman of God!

I hope that everyone is doing well and having a great week! Thanks for all your love and support! I love getting your emails and letters. They make me so happy!

Don't forget that you can find my address on my facebook and blog - I am still waiting to get some letters from some of you (Hirsche family....hint hint.)!!!

Love you all!
Te amo! Boa semana!

My zone with our American themed party! And a Statue of Liberty that I found here in Americana!
