Police! Transfers! Peace out Zona Rio Claro! The Life of Sister Serre!

Hello everyone!

Thanks for all the wonderful, supportive emails that I received this past week! It has been a challenging transfer with the combination of a companion who doesn't really love Americans and an area that doesn't want to progress...BUT, I made it! I survived! Second transfer...down!

My email from last week was pretty downer because not only was the week hard but moments before, my companion had stuck my SD card in a slot that was not right and essentially lost my SD card with ALL my mission photos! So, I was bummed about that. We talked to the owner who refused to open the computer so we had to get the members to help (since they can talk and actually know what to do in this situation, haha). We found out that in order to get my card back, we would need to get the Police involved. So we did and I finally got my card back last night! After almost a whole week. Such a pain but I am glad to have it back!

I was especially stressed about my card because I knew that we have transfers tomorrow and there was a big possibility that I would be transferred and wouldn't be in Cordeirópolis anymore to get my card back..

AND I WAS RIGHT! I have been transferred to TRAIN in a new city, Americana! I am SO excited and SO nervous at the same time. I am SO excited to have a new city and a new zone to work with! It is a huge responsibility but I know The Lord will help me the whole time; we never walk alone.

An Americana in Americana - it is going to be so great! I am sad to leave Cordeiropolis and especially the members. They have been so great and helpful. I feel like they are my family here in Brasil. I went around last night to say my goodbyes and it was a cry fest! People who I never even really knew or never really got to talk to were sobbing and wouldn't let me go. It is amazing how even if I didn't get to express myself really well during these first few months with the language barrier and all, The Spirit still testifies and speaks without words. I will miss this area but am so excited for an opportunity to work hard and get going again!

That is the big news for this week! The past week was more lessons and teaching the people of Cordeiropolis, Brasil. I also hit four months in the mission! The next time you hear from me, I will be in Americana!

Thanks for all your love and support! This definitely is not an easy adventure but I am loving it and looking forward to the new adventures lying ahead!

For the last time in little Ole' Cordeiro,
Sister Serre
